My Cubicle

I know I don't usually share this sort of things, but I couldn't help it. Hopefully some of my blogging audience has seen the movie OFFICE SPACE - an absolute cult classic for anyone who's ever worked in corporate America. If you haven't seen the movie and you have done your stint in CA, I suggest you rent it. It's a hilarious take on the stupidity of so many company policies and the way some people get ahead. Besides, we've all had Lumberg for a boss at some time or another.

Well, anyway, a co-worker forwarded this to me the other day. The song chosen worked fantastic with the new lyrics and it reminded me of OFFICE SPACE. In short, it made me laugh out loud, which is fairly rare.

Of course, if you've never worked in an office and you don't get the Corporate America thing at all then I only have two words to say - Lucky You!

Enjoy!

I've never seen Office Space, though I meant to because some of the exterior scenes were filmed just up the street from where I worked at the time in Austin. Now it would probably just make me homesick. :)

OMG lol! It brought back memories of my life working for a big insurance company for close to ten years. Although that last line doesn't apply ;-)

LOL! Yeah, I can certainly identify! Although I only WISH I had time to surf the internet! Unlike the singer, I actually have to...you know...work...mostly.

I'm dying. I'm dying. I had to do a sing along. That's TOO funny.

And yes, Tori, you MUST watch office space. It's one of the funniest films I've ever seen.

tori - you should definitely rent OS. I don't know about recognizing Austin, but they did a ton of outside shots in Dallas and I definitely recognize those.

Wendy - no last line application - why not???? :)

sassy - Yeah, I had to work too, but every once and a while you have that day when you might be ahead and it wasn't necessarily due NOW and Lord was it boring.

LOL Diana - I've played it a couple of times myself and sang along. The cats and the Sheltie think I'm quite good. Simon Cowel would crucify me. :)

I love Office Space. I also get on my knees every day and thank the good Lord I escaped the Cubicle Hell with my soul intact.

I hear ya, Jaye. Unfortunately, I gave up a big office with a glorious view for a six by six cubicle - just so I could write.

What was I thinking??????
