Day Off

Took the day off work yesterday and today, and I'm feeling so much better for it. I decorated my front entry-way yesterday and got the Sheltie and the cat groomed (kinda on the cat part). Today is laundry, nails and maybe a massage. So the mobile pet groomer came yesterday to shave the cat - now this is the 22 pound cat. He's declawed and usually nice, but apparently does not like having his feet touched. Ole' boy got to the front legs and the cat bit him so hard, he cracked his thumbnail in two. So now I have a cat that is shaved on his back and one front leg. Long hair on the belly, hiney, head, tail and three legs. To make matters worse, our little cat has decided that she doesn't know who he is because of the haircut and keeps fighting with him. So he keeps sitting in the corner crying.

I think I need to go back to work. :)

Today's GCC tour is a bit different than the others in that the book is a thriller/suspense/horror sort of tale. It sounds absolutely fantastic, and I will definitely be putting this on my list to buy. Not to mention that the author is from Louisiana, which makes her family. :) So without further ado, today's GCC tour is MORBID CURIOSITY by Deborah LeBlanc.

It seemed like the answer to Haley’s prayers. The most popular girl in her high school promised Haley that her life would change forever if only she performed certain dark rituals. And if Haley can convince her twin sister to participate, their power will double. Together they will be able to summon mystical entities they never dared dream of. But these are powerful, uncontrollable forces, forces that can kill—forces that demand to be fed . . .
