Very Exciting Tuesday

Sorry for the lack of blog yesterday. I got so busy in the morning that I never got around to it. Then equally busy in the afternoon. Then my internet connection at home was on the fritz. And anyway - here we are and it's already Tuesday. BUT........it's a very exciting Tuesday. Why you ask? Because (drumroll, please)

TONIGHT - AMERICAN IDOL IS BACK!!!!!!!

Yes, I'll admit it - I'm an American Idol junkie. I absolutely love the show and I can't even really tell you why. I think it has a whole lot to do with Simon's personality (since it's similar to mine), but can't really put my finger on the rest of it. God knows, I can't sing so it's not a longing to be up there. In fact, I'm not even big on music in general. I almost never listen to the radio and when I do, I listen to talk shows. I don't even own an ipod, although I've been considering one for writing workshops. :)

And the auditions are the absolute most fun. Talk about people with no clue. Of course, some of them are shaming to get on television. But apparently the world is also full of people without the ability to judge their own singing ability. I'm always like - wouldn't you record yourself and listen before you get on tv and disgrace yourself? But apparently the answer is no.

So the fun begins tonight. Bring on the William Hung's, the Keith's, Simon's put downs of all bad singing and overweight women who insist on wearing spandex.

Are you an Idol junkie?

American Idol is one show I've thankfully not become addicted to. I was tired of just seeing the ads for it while watching 24 last night. *g*

Psssssssttttt.... I've never watched it. Please don't revoke my citizenship! And Lula, Stephanie Plum's pal looks fabulous stuffed into her spandex.

tori - there's a show you don't watch!!!! Blasphemy!

kim - uh, no on the Lula in spandex. I've read enough of the books to form a huge mental picture - and I do mean huge. :) I guess we'll let you stay if you don't watch AI. But I might make you cheer for the NO Saints in the playoffs.

I know! Hard to believe, isn't it? *g*

Well don't feel bad, tori. I've never watched it either! I've heard from SO many people who love it though, I'll have to try and catch it sometime!

FYI, Jana - your mailbox is full! I'll try again in a day or two.

Enjoy Idol tonight!

I do watch AI, but miss episodes when my fave shows are on. I like being surprised by the fresh unknown talent out there, and I also get a good laugh by the few strange people who really think they don't get picked because they are too good for the show. =D

I used to watch Idol faithfully in the beginning, but then it just got too goofy for me. I'd start watching it closer to the end by the time they had the real talent lined up. I think I quit watching it around the time Fantasia won. Something about her wore me out! :)
But maybe I'll give it another shot with the new season starting tonight!

I've never watched it either. *ducking*

As I've said before...I live under a rock.

I didn't like Fantasia either. But the following seasons were really good.

Under a rock - um, no????

My email shouldn't be full any longer. If only people would stop sending me what they think are cute pictures or jokes. My private email has like, no space at all for that sort of thing. (sigh)
