Yes, I'm Ignoring You

No not really. I simply haven't blogged because I haven't had the time. I know what you're thinking - how in the world does this woman expect me to read her blog regularly if she posts as often as the US sweeps in the winter Olympics. Wellllllllllllll....................sorry?

Seriously, I'm winding up the whole tax season accounting thing, so that's looking a bit better. My house is probably 70% packed, but I haven't even started on the garage. We're "supposed" to close on 2/28 (no sweating, right?) but we'll see if that happens or not. Either way, I have to pack, move and make a ton of small annoying repairs on the current house, then get an agent and sell it so I don't pay two house notes for very long (ouch). Also sent my new and improved proposal to my agent and cranked out a rough draft of the long synopsis which I still have to fix (yuck).

In the midst of this, I got a 30 item line edit email from my editor last week and almost panicked. But then I looked it over and put everything aside for four days (took one vacation day) and managed to get it done. Took another vacation day today to sit with repair men and spent some more time packing. (Had a pizza too, but that's not exactly part of the story)

Anyway, the point is - I really have been busy! But I'll try to get here more often. I feel like I'm missing too much otherwise.

Till the next gold medal............

Jana, no worries on the blogging. You have so much going on, and I'm so glad you got the new proposal to Kristin!

I don't envy you the move but once everything is done, you'll be settled and comfortable again.

Good luck with the edits and proposal!

Thanks! The best part of the move is the new house has a spa and pool. Of course, we still don't have an appraisal and we're supposed to close next Tuesday. Oh well, if it doesn't work out we'll just find another one. At least we're already packed. I refuse to worry about it. It's just one of the million things in my life I can't control and believe me, my ulcer is much better since I've let go of things I can control.

Good luck on your edits too! I can't wait to read your book.

Thanks, Jana, sometimes I forget I'm going to have a book out for people to actually buy. Doesn't make sense since I'm doing edits, but I've been editing for what feels like forever. lol.

Which reminds me I wanted to invite you to be spotlighted on my Words of an Author column--let me check my notes here *wink*--for October, right?

Let me know if you're interested!

Cool! I'd love to be in your column. God knows, I've never been short on words (grins). Just let me know if that October slot is open.
