So I've spent the entire week, working, editing then packing. Had the entire-day packing event yesterday and like it or not, we're going to have to move. I love the new house and can't wait to get in it - mostly because it has a spa and my lower back is simply screaming for relief! Closing is Tuesday and my day job is getting back to the norm after year-end close, so it looks like I'll be hot on the new book and back to regular blogging in a jiffy.
A few things have happened since I begged off the blogging circuit:
My friend Colleen Gleason sold another book!!!!!!! I can't wait to read her work. Colleen is a super author. One of those that I've read the wip and said every single time "what the hell is wrong with publishers that they didn't buy this." Seriously, I've had four-hour marathon readings over Colleen's work and sometimes I just don't understand what's going on in the publishing arena. But that's all in the past. She got a wonderful two book deal last year for her Regency Buffy the Vampire Slayer and now she's written an erotic Phantom of the Opera. Ohhhhhh, sexy!!!!! Check out her blog!
Another friend, Kelly Parra (Callihan) sold in a two-book deal to Bombshell!!!!! This is another sale that was long in coming and had many set-backs, so I'm thrilled that it finally happened. Kelly (like myself) has just gone through her first round of revisions with an editor and talked about it on her blog.
And the absolutely fabulous and incredibly brilliant Kristin Nelson started her own blog with her thoughts on the publishing industry. Check it out for all the truth that is truth in this wacky biz.
That's all for now. Off to the boxes.

Jana, thanks so much for mentioning me! I'm so happy for your friend Colleen. I will definitely check out her book once it's out.
Ugh, on the moving, but yep, look on the bright side. That spa is calling your name! ;D But really, I know it will be such a relief when all is settled!
Hi Kelly! I'll be so glad when moving is over. I'm hoping to find my muse when I unpack.....
Good Luck, I do hate moving as well. It's I'd rather throw everything away and start all over than pack it all up!
Hi Lady M,
I'm on the fifth day of moving and I think you're right, throwing it all away would have been a lot easier. If only one had the pocketbook to do so (grins).
